(Referring to Doom I+II and Heretic+Hexen bundles that are free updates for owners of even one game in each bundle.)

IDK, it kinda makes sense. You buy it once and you can play either the original or the remaster. At least they kept the original around.
The issue is the price hike, not the bundle.
