The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond game launches December 4, 2025, only on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems. Pre-orders are available now on Nintendo eShop.

Take on the role of Samus Aran, who finds herself transported to Viewros—a mysterious planet once inhabited by an ancient race. Now she must explore this planet, all while battling the strange creatures that inhabit it, to find her way home.

Nintendo Switch 2 players who have Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the upgrade pack.

I was really hoping for a special edition switch 2 or at least a bundle with the console, but it’s looking like that is not going to happen

I’m just glad we’re finally getting Prime 4 at this point

It’s weird to me how little marketing this game has had. It feels like even Metroid Dread got way more stuff (like the Special Edition, which was great!). But like you, I’m glad we’re getting the game at all 😬

I am extremely bummed there’s not a special edition Switch 2. They always do SE consoles, so it’s strange they aren’t doing it for such a big title.

Yeah, I have couple of friends who are waiting for a special edition to buy their (first?) Switch 2. They were expecting a Pokémon one too, but we didn’t even get that.
