It was a fine movie. It ends nicely, bad guy defeated, lessons of trusting friends, self acceptance, etc etc learned. Put a bow on it perfect little package.
Soullessly trying to carve more money out of it with a sequel just ruins it.
Eh, they left plot points open for the possibility of a sequel in the first movie, such as who the parents of the lead singer could be since she’s half and half.
