They already did.
A few years ago, Osama Bin Laden’s open letter to the American people was being shared and people had their posts deleted.
It was being shared because the first reason he lists for attacking on 9/11 was America’s support for Israel.
Isn’t that the case with all major social media platforms?
Aside from the fediverse one would hope
Oh no! Genocidal maniacs have taken control over TikTok… again!
Seems like that was always the end goal. Imperialist global power built on colonialism continues to push forward neocolonialism, more at 11.
Ditch TrumpTok
dont you mean pro-zionist/ possibly antisemtic billionaires. antisemitism gives legitmacy to BIBIs regime.
From the river to the sea.
Palestine will be free
free palestine from hamas
American unironically screaming “You voted for this!” at a children’s mass grave.
nice propaganda, very picturesque.
Israel will be free
Abolish Israel. End the settler state.
Free to massacre children?
Why not both?
Anti-<topic> Billionaires Have Always Been Able to Control What People in General See.
The difference now is Chinese Billionaires were Anti <Israel> and the new American Billionaires are Anti <Palestine>
RedNote is a good alternative.
Westerners would rather drown in capitalist propaganda than listen to anything a diabolical Chinese national might have to say.
Tankies would rather push a Chinese state controlled app over a Fediverse replacement ran by real people.
Excited for the next edition of liberal pogroms against people using the wrong kind of social media.
How’d that work out for your boy Biden, again?
So the solution to algorithm being dictated by billionaires or governments with little to no transparency is to move to another one?
Maybe its better to stay by the sidelines instead of constantly rushing to join the next new social media. Perhaps its better to view them more from a position of an observer than a participant when it comes to the meta, tiktok, twitter type social media run by big centralized money or governments backing them.
What’s the fediverse alternative?
Loops?
@youare_acooldude @Mrkawfee Loops
Ahh, thanks!
is rednote an actual alternative for non-chinese?
No, it’s not even like Tiktok at all. The vast majority of the content is in Mandarin and if you aren’t Chinese your not going to know the asinine culture rules and get banned for something you thought was silly, but they take very seriously.
for non-chinese
or for Chinese that don’t want to be censored?
Most platforms have some kind of moderation. But I’m sure a Chinese platform will be quite selective about a particular set of topics and themes.
