Right, that’s their point. Chocolate chip cookies can be made to be chewy when cold instead of crunchy, in which case they’re still much better than crunchy chocolate chip cookies.

i make cookies all the time and the key is to cook them for 2 minutes less than the recipe calls for because they’ll keep cooking when you take them out and they’ll be just the right about of gooey and soft <3
What’s a melty cookie? Like temperature warm so the chocolate is melting?
Crunchy is fine as long as there’s a generous amount of chunky chocolate chips.
my favorite is a crispy one that for some reason seemed associated with christmass.
The idea cookie is the Subway double chocolate chip, microwaved for 7 seconds.
Warm gooey chunks with a crisp rim. The best of all worlds.
Honestly Subway should give up on their C- tier sandwiches and focus on what they do well.
I sometimes deliberately leave them to sit in the open for a day or so. Makes them less crunchy.
Still better than oatmeal raisin.
