    And then, as if to taunt me, the idea pops back into my head at the least opportune moment. Like when I’m standing at a public urinal or changing the oil in my car. My phone or a notepad are literally within reach but I know that by the time I wash my hands, the idea will be gone like the mist in sunshine.

    And this is the genesis of my copious notes on things to do, going back decades, which I’m mostly never going to do. Ahhhhhh!

    I do end up doing a few things though!

    I used to have mini panic attacks when this happened but eventually I’ve learned to embrace it. The idea always comes back to me eventually, and if it doesn’t, oh well. Life is too short to worry.

      If it happens on a regular basis—and not just once every few months/years or so—then yes, it’s ADHD-specific.
