“When a man and woman love each other very much…”. Love is NOT a necessary prerequisite to sex

I feel like this isn’t the “sex” talk, it’s the “explaining where you (the child) came from” talk. Framing your existence as the product of love is helpful to make the child understand that they themselves are loved… and also why kids feel like they could no longer be loved if their parents explain divorce as no longer loving each other.

I was watching this reality TV show about teen parents. There was a couple that was having sex, but they hadn’t kissed yet because kissing was much more intimate!?

Nope! Without expensive medical machinery we need two people, one with functional male genetalia and the other functional female genetalia and uterus system.

You are right. They don’t have to identify as a man and a woman, for procreation they just have to have male and female parts

I think the idea is to make it sound like a serious commitment when first describing it to a young person who doesn’t know about it yet.

If you lead by making it sound like no big deal, they might just go try it out.

Is that effective? Doesn’t seem like very; but it’s probably better than just describing and hoping they figure out that it ain’t a game.

And by the time the parents finally get around to having the talk, their kids have already seen German bondage swingers shit into each other’s mouths on the internet.

You all need to learn how logic works. „When X then Y“ doesn’t mean that X is the only way to achieve Y.

The real issue with that talk is not sex without love, it’s love without sex. Asexual people exist!

All good points. The phrase doesn’t say love is needed for sex; it says love results in sex, which also isn’t always true

Maybe what you say is true for sociopaths. And apparently the world is full of them.

But I for one could not get naked with anybody unless I love them. I love several people.

No, I’m pretty sure that people who use each other for solely selfish purposes is a primary symptom of sociopathy.

Thus hiring someone to fix your plumbing or do your yard work is sociopathy?

Also two people can have mutually enjoyable sex without “love”.

          You’ve got a weird take.

No, it isn’t. Only in online pop psychology.

And it’s not what’s happening for the people involved either.

          This ain’t Sunday school 🤣

Personally, I wouldn’t have sex without love either, but people who do it aren’t sociopaths

  • My parents never talked about that stuff.

    (Chinese Family btw)

But then kids in school were talking and I heard the word “porn” and that “it’s where you go to see naked women”

So yea… there was that. Its elementary school btw lmfao

I think I started googling stuff about how people are born… like some time after I gain accessed to the internet around 8 years old when I immigrated to the US. Well maybe not at 8 when I looked up that stuff, I think probably like 10-15 was when I started searching about procreation and stuff… idk memory are fuzzy, maybe the porn thing was too much of a shocker for me and messed up my memories. It almost felt illegal lol. (Well, if it was back in China it would’ve been illegal)

Oh, innocent me. lol… poor kid

Like I think my heart rate went through the roof that night

I think like procreation is just a massive mindfuck that its hard to register it in your brain…

Like, I think he first thing I really know about life is the abortion thing. I think I knew of the concept of terminating a life but didn’t know about the creation of life.

I remember once seeing blood in the bathroom at home and I was like (cringe warning) (keep in mind, I’m male btw): “Mom, are you having a period?” because I was trying to show off my knowledge of human anatomy as in like hey I KNOW about the secrets of adults

Mom didn’t seem shocked at all lol.

Honestly I’m so curious about how kids in China know about this stuff…

I mean, do kids somehow figure out a VPN to access Japanese Adult Videos? lol

Or is it just the boring textbook stuff where teachers are uncomfortable in aboit this stuff?

But without a live-action demonstration, it’s kinda no fun lol.

So yea, y’all westerners have it good that you can just look up naked women (and men) on the internet.¹

¹But now you need age verification in some countries, so enjoy it while it lasts lol

Edit: Also I wonder about the teenage pregnancy stuff…

Does that even happen in China? Because I know that a pregnant young girl in primary or secondary school, or even college is gonna get a lot of social stigma as being “promiscuous”.

Marriage is the ideal prerequisite. But society has fallen.
