Exactly. Fascists don’t consider themselves fascist. Words have meaning. Your beliefs don’t meet a specific ideological definition simply because you feel like they should.
Democrats call themselves leftists all the time while supporting non leftist policies and politicians while believing their party is left of center. It’s no different than MAGA believing they are Christian despite being nothing like their Christ.
But you don’t get to decide whether a person is Christian or not. You’re not the arbiter of their belief. They decide what they are; all you get is an opinion about it.

They may not “identify” as a Muslim, but that word has been polluted to the point of uselessness. Words have meaning. You can be something simply by meeting the definition of the term.
